Pearl Brown went to be with her Lord and Savior, Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at the age of 95 at her home in Atlanta, Texas.
She was born in Meridian, Texas to Roy and Leah Trammell April 10, 1921 and was the last of 9 siblings: Willie, Willis, Pete, Albert, Martha, Ruby, Roy Jr., and Bobby. She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Oliver and one daughter, Louise Hamilton.
Pearl was Co-owner of the Atlanta Tire Co. for 52 years and charter member of the Atlanta Church of God which was started in their home in the 1950’s.
She is survived by one son, Rodney Brown and wife Terri of Atlanta; one daughter, Sondra Smith of Atlanta, one son-in-law, George Hamilton of College Station; four grandchildren, Terry Morales and Jose of College Station, Shannon Carter and husband Chris of Georgetown, Kelly Brown and wife Pauline of Forney, Kassie Black and husband John of Colleyville, 9 great-grandchildren and one sister-in-law, Joy Trammell. She also considered many others her ”own” kids particularly Jose, Sylvia, Jocelyn, Jonathan and Andrew DeDios for their compassionate love and care and many church members.
Celebration service will be 10:00 am, Saturday, March 25, 2017 at the Atlanta Church of God under the direction of Hanner Funeral Service with Bro. Chris Miller and Bill Graf officiating with interment at Pine Crest Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday, March 24, 2017 from 6 pm to 8 pm at Hanner Funeral Service.
In lieu of flowers Memorials may be made to Gideons International or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
The family would like to thank Sherry Fitts for the love and faithful support through these 15 plus months and Kristie, Shelia, Patrick, Dylan, and Roxie from Genesis Prime Care.
Pallbearers will be: Charles Pitts, Hugh Jester, Earl Shelby, Steve Collins, Kelvin Ivory and Don Courtney.
